Russia should introduce a visa regime with Kyrgyzstan, the well-known billionaire Konstantin Malofeev said after the brutal murder of a writer in Moscow. He called for «action, otherwise number of such tragedies will increase.»
Konstantin Malofeev said on the air of «Tsargrad. Main» TV program that Russia should introduce a visa regime with the Kyrgyz Republic. According to him, «now this Central Asian republic is part of the Eurasian Economic Community, and this is turning into a serious problem for Moscow.»
«The problem is that migrants from Kyrgyzstan can really move freely around our territory, since we have a common labor market. This is an unfavorable situation for us. The agreement allowing this should be canceled. It should be denounced. We must introduce a visa regime. We will not be able to regulate these processes without visas. It is almost impossible to control these visitors without visas. No migration service within the Ministry of Internal Affairs will be able to do anything, if a person from Kyrgyzstan has the right to be in Russia just like that. He can twiddle his thumbs in Moscow instead of twiddling his thumbs in a Kyrgyz village,» the billionaire said.
According to him, «these newcomers have the right to hang around our streets doing nothing, and this restlessness increases the crime risks. Such migrants are easily drawn into drug trafficking and other illegal activities.»
It was previously reported that police officers detained a citizen of Kyrgyzstan in Moscow, who beat to death 78-year-old writer and former teacher at the Boris Shchukin Theatre Institute Raisa Kirsanova.
Konstantin Malofeev is a Russian entrepreneur, billionaire, politician and public figure, owner of Rostelecom shares, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tsargrad group of companies, deputy head of the World Russian People’s Council, founder of Tsargrad TV channel, one of the financiers of the «Russian World».
Recall, laws regarding migrants have been recently tightened in the Russian Federation. For example, the State Duma approved three out of five bills concerning Russian migration policy.
Earlier, deputy Mederbek Aliyev addressed his colleagues from the State Duma of the Russian Federation, who are adopting laws to tighten migration policy. According to the MP, migrants from Russia have been approaching him with concern for this reason.
