The process of delimitation of certain sections of the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border will be completed in the very near future. The Chairman of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) Kamchybek Tashiev said, speaking at the International Scientific and Practical Conference «History of Batken — Spiritual Heritage of the People».
According to him, «God willing, in the near future we will complete the discussion of this border issue with our neighbors.»
Kamchybek Tashiev also added that «it will not be like before — everything is decided within the framework of the law.»
The SCNS Chairman called this an achievement of the authorities and promised to protect Kyrgyz lands like the apple of his eye.
The international scientific and practical conference «History of Batken — Spiritual Heritage of the People» was held as part of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Kara-Kyrgyz Autonomous Region and the 25th anniversary of Batken region.
