PISA tools and procedures are being tested in Kyrgyzstan from September 16 to October 15. The press service of the Ministry of Education and Science reported.
According to it, 3,100 schoolchildren from selected schools will take part in the field study.
In 2025, 15-year-old schoolchildren from Kyrgyzstan will take part in the main stage of the international assessment of the quality of education PISA.
«Participation in PISA will provide an opportunity to compare the level of knowledge and skills of students in the Kyrgyz Republic with the indicators of other countries. The result of participation in PISA 2025 will be an assessment of the effectiveness of reforms, the direction of development of school education in the country. Analysis of the results will improve the quality of education,» the ministry reported.
Earlier, Education Minister Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva said that the results of the participation of Kyrgyz schoolchildren in the international PISA study may not be very successful.
- PISA (Programme for International Student Assessment) is an international program for assessing the educational achievements of students. Students from about 100 countries are expected to participate in the PISA study in 2025. Kyrgyzstan participated in PISA twice: in 2006 and 2009. Both times it took the last place.
