At least 66 foreign citizens were taken to district police stations of Bishkek for four days. The press service of the Main Department of Internal Affairs of the capital reported.
From August 10 to August 14, mobile groups, consisting of officers of the Service for Combating Extremism and Illegal Migration and employees of the Department of the Patrol Police Service of Bishkek, conducted a raid in connection with an increase in the number of road accidents involving foreigners. They had preventive talks with them and gave recommendations on compliance with local legislation.
Over four days, traffic police stopped 12 foreigners driving motorcycles or mopeds in violation of traffic rules. The vehicles were taken to the impound lot.
In addition, 66 foreigners were taken to district police stations for illegal labor activity, reports were issued on 14 of them. At least 13 more foreign citizens were fined for violation of the rules of registration and stay in the country. The foreigners were fined 742,000 soms for four days.
