The delegation of Kyrgyzstan discussed joint events with the Azerbaijani side within the framework of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change — COP29, the presidential press service reported.
The Special Representative of the head of state for the implementation of the five-year action plan for the development of mountain regions, Dinara Kemelova, together with the acting Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision Azis Saparaliev, visited the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Negotiations and consultations were held with the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan Mukhtar Babayev, Assistant to the President — Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Administration of the President of Azerbaijan Hikmet Hajiyev and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Yalchin Rafiyev.
Sadyr Japarov’s message addressed to Ilham Aliyev concerning Kyrgyzstan’s global mountain initiatives was conveyed to the Azerbaijani side.
The parties discussed joint activities within the climate and mountain agenda during the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change COP29 to be held in Baku in November.
