Mudflow hits Batken region: 137 people evacuated

At least 137 people were evacuated due to mudflows in Batken district. The press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.

A mudflow occurred in Ak-Tatyr village. About 50 children out of 137 residents were temporarily moved to relatives’ homes.

Earlier it was reported that 108 people were evacuated to a safe place from Oruk-Zar and Airport areas in Ak-Tatyr village, Batken district, due to mudflows. 40 of them are children.

More than 50 rescuers from the Ministry of Emergency Situations and employees of the Civil Protection Service took part in the work.
