Emergency situation declared in Batken district due to mudflows

An emergency situation has been declared in Batken district of Kyrgyzstan. The press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.

According to the ministry, mudflows flooded residential buildings and internal roads on July 10 due to heavy rains.

To eliminate the consequences of natural disasters, 121 rescuers, 14 units of equipment and seven motor pumps were sent to Airport and Orukzar areas in Ak-Tatyr village.

Earlier, 137 residents were evacuated in Batken district due to mudflows.
