Car assembly plant planned to be launched next month in Chui region

Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov, as part of his working trip to Chui region, got acquainted with the activities of Tulpar Motors LLC automobile assembly plant in Moskovsky district. The press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported.

Akylbek Japarov noted that the cars, trucks and buses produced by the plant will meet the needs of Kyrgyzstan; specialized buses will be used for transporting schoolchildren, and will also be exported to Central Asian countries.

Construction of the plant began in May 2023, its total area is 4.5 hectares. It is planned that within five years the number of employees will reach 1,400 people. At the same time, the total investment in the project will be $110 million in two stages. Partner country is Uzbekistan.

Further Akylbek Japarov got acquainted with the activities of the enterprise for the production of polyester and lycra fabric (Zilan Eversun Textile LLC) in Kara-Balta city. The company is operating in test mode. Private investment amounted to $2.3 million, the Kyrgyz-Uzbek Development Fund allocated $3.4 million.

It is expected that 200 jobs will soon be created at the enterprise, which plans to produce 3,300 tons of polyester and lycra per year.

The head of the Cabinet of Ministers also inspected the construction of a plant for the production of gold measured bars of Kyrgyzaltyn OJSC. The total cost of the project will be 300 million soms, financed entirely from the own funds of Kyrgyzaltyn OJSC.

The project is aimed at developing work on the production and sale of weighted ingots and increasing the turnover of precious metals mined in Kyrgyzstan with an increase in added value.

The official opening of Tulpar Motors car assembly plant, the enterprise for the production of polyester and lycra fabric, as well as a plant for the production of gold weighted ingots will take place with the participation of the President in July-August 2024.
