The newly appointed Russian Ambassador presented his credentials at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan. The press service of the Foreign Affairs Ministry reports.
During the meeting, First Deputy Foreign Minister Asein Isaev and Russian Ambassador Sergei Vakunov discussed a number of pressing issues in the development of Kyrgyzstan — Russia relations, including deepening political dialogue and increasing interaction in trade, economic, humanitarian and other areas.
«On July 5, 2024, the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Asein Isaev accepted copies of the credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Kyrgyz Republic Sergei Vakunov,» the statement says.
Former Russian Ambassador Nikolai Udovichenko completed his mission in Kyrgyzstan in June 2024.
