Drug dealer wanted by Interpol of Mongolia detained in Bishkek

A man wanted for illegal manufacture and sale of drugs has been detained in Bishkek. The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.

The Bureau of Interpol of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan together with Mongolian colleagues carried out active search measures. As a result, 41-year-old man was detained in Bishkek. He has been wanted for the illegal sale and manufacture of narcotic and psychotropic substances since 2022.

In 2022-2023, the man and his family lived in Turkey, where he organized the transportation of crystal methamphetamine from Istanbul to Ulaanbaatar, using the services of an international express delivery service.

The Drug Control Department of the National Police Agency of Mongolia has detected more than 100 cases of drug distribution involving the suspect. According to available information, the man came to Kyrgyzstan to establish drug distribution channels.

The wanted person was handed over to the investigative service of the Department of Internal Affairs of Pervomaisky district; the competent authorities of the Kyrgyz Republic will resolve issues of his extradition.
