Germany fears a terrorist attack at the European Football Championship. Financial Times reports.
The matches are taking place in 11 cities of the country. The reason for the fear was that the propaganda organ of ISIS-K, Wilayat of Khorasan, recently published a collage showing a militant with a machine gun in a football stadium with the slogan «Score the last goal!» in the background.
According to the media outlet, German Interior Minister Nancy Faeser said that Europe was under the sights of jihadist organizations. The head of the country’s domestic intelligence agency, Thomas Haldenwang, said that ISIS-K managed to send its supporters to Western Europe under the guise of refugees from Ukraine.
