Chakan HPP OJSC is implementing a pilot project for the construction of a floating solar power plant in the daily regulation pool at the hydropower plant (HPP) 5. The company’s press service reported.
The facility is being built using the grant funds provided by the Asian Development Bank. As of today, the main equipment and components have been assembled: the floating part of the station with a capacity of 95 kilowatts and the ground part of the station with a capacity of 5 kilowatts have been installed at the points determined by the working design.
«In addition, specialists installed a connection panel to the transformer substation and laid power cables,» the statement says.
Representatives of Chakan HPP OJSC also note that such a project is the first in Kyrgyzstan.
