Crypto mining farms use imported electricity in Kyrgyzstan. Energy Minister Taalaibek Ibraev announced at a press conference.
According to him, everyone who uses mining farms is the owner of small hydroelectric power stations (HPS).
«The generated electricity is used, firstly, for our own needs, and secondly, on a contractual basis. The owner of a small hydroelectric power station knows with whom sign an agreement. The rest of the electricity is purchased by the state,» the minister noted.
He stressed that crypto mining farms must use only imported electricity and pay for transit.
