The Days of Kyrgyz Cinema were held in Paris as part of the International Festival Cinema Heritage. Chairman of the Union of Cinematographers of the Kyrgyz Republic, Taalaibek Kulmendeyev, announced on social media.
The audience watched the films «Shambala» by Artyk Suyundukov, «The Smell of Wormwood» by Aibek Daiyrbekov and «House for Sale» by Taalaibek Kulmendeyev.
The film «Esimde» by the Kyrgyz director Aktan Arym Kubat made it to the finals of the film festival.
One of the initiators of Cinema Heritage is the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kyrgyzstan to France Sadyk Sher-Niyaz. The festival is held by Aitysh France Association with the participation of representatives of the diaspora of the Kyrgyz Republic. The opening ceremony was attended by the First Lady of Kyrgyzstan Aigul Japarova.
