Ten brothels providing sexual services closed in Bishkek

The State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) detected a network of brothels providing sexual services as part of the fight against organized crime and to eliminate sources of financing and reduce cash flows directed to criminal activities. The SCNS press center reported.

According to its data, ten brothels were detected on the night of November 26 in Bishkek, including those working under the guise of massage parlors, but which actually provided sexual services.

«Ten organizers and owners of brothels, 70 women aged from 18 to 30 from various regions of the country, including students of capital’s universities, were detained. During the searches, objects of an intimate nature were discovered, clearly indicating the activities of the establishments,» the SCNS noted.

Ten organizers and owners of еру brothels were taken to the pretrial detention center of the Main Department of Internal Affairs within the framework of the initiated criminal case under Article 160 «Organization or maintenance of brothels for prostitution or procuring for debauchery or pimping» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.

«As part of the criminal case, a set of operational and investigative measures is being carried out to identify informal patrons from among government officials, as well as other persons involved in the organization and activities of the brothels,» the state committee reported.

The SCNS reported that it will publish photographs of detained brothel owners and girls working there as a preventive measure for persons intending to organize or engage in such illegal activities.
