Head of Perm proposes to open flights with Kyrgyzstan, Georgia and Kazakhstan

The Perm Krai is discussing the possibility of launching direct flights from Perm to Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and other CIS countries. The website of the governor and the regional government says.

At the XVII Transport of Russia International Forum and Exhibition, which takes place as part of the Transport Week 2023 in Moscow, the delegation from the Perm Krai discussed with the heads of Ikar and Azimuth airlines the issues of air transportation development.

According to the press service of the governor of the region, in 2022, an agreement was concluded between the regional government, Ikar Airlines LLC, Northern Wind LLC and Perm International Airport JSC, which provides for the annual launch of at least one foreign route on a commercial basis.

«In this regard, the possibility of opening direct flights (from Perm) to Almaty, Bishkek, Samarkand, Tashkent, Urgench, Batumi or Tbilisi is being considered for 2024,» the statement says.
