Schoolchildren were detained in Bishkek for bomb hoax. The press service of the Central Internal Affairs Department reported.

On November 14, at around 2:30 p.m., 102 service was informed that one of the teachers of a school- gymnasium on Koibagarov Street received several messages from an unknown number on WhatsApp with the text: «Hello! Your school is mined. You are given 30 minutes to evacuate or there will be a big bang. Or you must pay 50,000 soms. You have 10 minutes to think.»

Management and the investigative team of the district administration immediately went to the scene. Specialists-cynologists from the State Service on Drug Control of the Ministry of Internal Affairs did not find any suspicious or explosive substances.

A pre-investigation check started. During investigative and search activities, 14-year-old students of this school were identified and brought to the investigative service of the Internal Affairs Department of Oktyabrsky district. Due to the fact that they had not reached the age of criminal responsibility, the students were handed over to their parents and explanatory work was carried out to prevent such incidents from happening in the future.

The Central Internal Affairs Department reminds that «deliberately false reporting of an impending explosion, arson or other actions that create a danger of death or serious harm» is punishable by imprisonment for up to five years.
