International Day for Elimination of Violence: Volleyball tournament held

The League of Mothers volleyball tournament was held in Bishkek. The organizers reported.

At least 70 teams consisting of women (over 25, over 35 and over 50) from all over the republic competed for victory.

The tournament was dedicated to the International Day for the Elimination of Violence as part of the global campaign 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence.

Team members, as a sign of support for women and girls who have gone through violence, put on yellow ties and released yellow balloons together.

As Taalaigul Toktakunova, one of the participants of the League of Mothers, noted, the main mission of the game was to draw attention to the phenomenon of violence against women and girls.

The volleyball League of Mothers has existed since 2016.
