Director of the Department of Medicines and Medical Products Ainura Abalieva was found guilty by the court and sentenced to punishment.
The verdict in the Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek was announced on August 30, 2023, but it became known only now.
According to the court decision, Ainura Abalieva was found guilty under the article «Taking a bribe» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. She was sentenced to a fine of 10,000 calculated rates (1 million soms) to the state income with deprivation of the right to hold a position in the state or municipal service for two years.
According to the investigators of the State Committee for National Security the accused was charged with abuse of office, extortion and bribery.
«A sustainable corruption scheme organized by the director of the Department of Medicines and Medical Products, expressed in the accelerated passage of the procedure of registration and certification of medicines in violation of the established order was revealed. In collusion with responsible employees of the department and for the purpose of illegal profit and personal enrichment, she received money from pharmaceutical companies for a positive decision and issuance of a certificate,» the press center of the SCNS reported.
