A ninth-grade student of the innovative gymnasium school No. 1 committed suicide in Karakol city. The Ministry of Education and Science reported.
The tragedy occurred on October 27.
The city education department told that the parents of the boy found out that their son smokes electronic cigarettes. They scolded him. The child, who took his parents’ words seriously, committed suicide.
Education Minister Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva visited the boy’s family and expressed condolences to his loved ones.
The ministry added that it supports the initiative of deputies to introduce a legislative ban on advertising and sale of electronic cigarettes to minors.
