Judge of Sverdlovsky District Court Akylbek Adimov detained in Bishkek

Judge of the Sverdlovsky District Court Akylbek Adimov was detained in Bishkek. The Pervomaisky District Court, where a preventive measure was chosen against the detainee, confirmed the information to 24.kg news agency.

According to the district court, the judge was taken into custody until December 17.

The Council of Judges also reported that a meeting was held and it considered the recommendeation of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Kyrgyz Republic to give consent to bring judge Akylbek Adimov to criminal liability.

According to preliminary data, he is accused of taking a bribe.

The judge of the Sverdlovsky District Court of Bishkek, Akylbek Adimov, considered the high-profile case of journalist Bolot Temirov and a mother of seven children accused of fraud.

On September 27, the State Committee for National Security announced the detention and imprisonment of a judge of the criminal board of the Bishkek City Court, Nazgul Ilyazova, for taking a bribe of $5,000. According to the Council of Judges, the judge of the Leninsky District Court Nurlan Kenzhebaev is an accomplice in the case. On the same day, the Council of Judges made proposals to President Sadyr Japarov to temporarily remove these judges from office.
