To increase doctors’ salaries, the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan asks the Ministry of Finance for additional funding of 350 million soms. The Health Minister Alymkadyr Beishenaliev announced at a meeting of the parliamentary committee on social policy.
Deputies are considering the draft law «On the republican budget of the Kyrgyz Republic for 2024 and the planning period 2025-2026.»
Deputy Vinera Raimbachaeva noted that the salary of medical workers is 15,000 soms, and in connection with this, there is an acute shortage of specialists in state medical institutions.
In turn, Deputy Head of the Ministry of Finance Zhibek Duysheeva stressed that the ministry was working on this issue.
«Salaries are considered fixed costs. We must allocate money monthly while suspending other funding. Therefore, the issue of increasing wages needs to be considered in detail. In 2022, we increased wages based on our capabilities. We will consider this issue to the best of our ability,» she said.
