Vladimir Putin calls Jalal-Abad an industrial center of Kyrgyzstan

The 10th Kyrgyz-Russian Interregional Conference is taking place in Jalal-Abad today. It is timed to coincide with the official visit of the Russian President Vladimir Putin to Kyrgyzstan.

The leaders of the two countries made a speech at the opening of the event.

This year’s conference is dedicated to industrial cooperation. Therefore, it is quite logical that you meet in Jalal-Abad, the industrial center of Kyrgyzstan.

According to him, interregional cooperation covers the overwhelming majority of the subjects of the Russian Federation and all seven regions of Kyrgyzstan. At that, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, Orenburg and Chelyabinsk Oblasts are noticeably active on the Russian side. Vladimir Putin also stressed that the Federal Corporation for the Development of Small and Medium Enterprises and the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund make a significant contribution to the development of interregional cooperation. Kyrgyzstan’s accession to the Eurasian Economic Union was also called a plus.

«Regions play a central role in the strategic partnership and cooperation between Russia and Kyrgyzstan. We will continue to encourage the desire of the regions of our countries to cooperate with each other, to seek new areas of interaction. Naturally, we will support all your useful endeavors,» the Russian President said.

In turn, Sadyr Japarov suggested Russian business to consider Kyrgyzstan as a reliable partner.

The President noted that the format of the Kyrgyz-Russian conference proved its relevance and demand. He named energy, mining, agriculture, subsoil use, industrial production and tourism as priority areas of cooperation.

The head of state also said that a capsule was laid for the construction of the Park of Friendship of the regions of Kyrgyzstan and Russia. He considers this fact another vivid example of allied relations and strategic cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Russia.

«The potential for possible cooperation is high. The spheres of interaction are diverse. I urge Russian business circles to consider Kyrgyzstan as a reliable business partner and invite to active cooperation and joint implementation of large investment projects,» Sadyr Japarov concluded.
