CMIF concludes agreements on health insurance for foreign students

The Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund (CMIF) concludes agreements with higher education institutions on health insurance for foreign students. The press service of the fund reported.

According to it, agreements have been signed with the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy, the Kyrgyz National University, the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Kyrgyz Economic University, the Kyrgyz Aviation Institute and the Bishkek State University.

«The agreements represent an important step in ensuring foreign students’ access to quality medical services, which is important for creating comfortable conditions for studying and living in Kyrgyzstan,» the fund noted.

The Bishkek territorial department of the Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund will begin, together with universities, procedures for issuing certificates and outreach work for understanding the benefits and rules of use.

The certificates will allow foreign students to access medical services under the government guarantee program. They will be able to receive them under the same conditions as insured citizens of Kyrgyzstan.
