A strong explosion occurred at one of the warehouses in Tashkent, causing a fire. Telegram channel of the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan reported.
«The duty unit of the Ministry of Emergency Situations received a message about an explosion and subsequent fire that occurred in one of the warehouses located on the territory of Stroitel in Sergeli district of Tashkent today at 2.43 a.m.,» the statement says.
The Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan added that there were injured as a result of the incident. They were hospitalized in the Republican Scientific Center for Emergency Medical Care and its branch in Tashkent region. However, they have no serious injuries. Their number is not specified.
As the Ministry of Emergency Situations emphasized, false information is being spread on social media that the explosion is allegedly related to a plane crash.
