A concert of the symphony orchestra of the Kyrgyz National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater named after Abdylas Maldybaev with the participation of composer and conductor Yuri Chuguev (Spain) will be held in Bishkek on September 29. Almaz Istambayev, Director General of the Kyrgyz National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater, told at a press conference.
The Spanish composer will present Malaga suite to Kyrgyzstanis.
«This will be purely Spanish music, which is almost never played here. This is very colorful music. In addition to conducting, I will play the flamenco cajon,» Yuri Chuguev said.
According to the composer, the concert will be attended by many foreign guests, including politicians and businessmen who will consider the possibility of cooperation with the Kyrgyz side.
Yuri Chuguev is a Spanish conductor of Russian origin. He was born in Moscow and graduated from the Gnesin Academy. In 1985-1990 he soloed in Moscow with various symphony orchestras. In 1991 he performed with the Malaga Philharmonic Orchestra (Andalusia, Spain). Later he performed with symphony orchestras in Europe and South America under the baton of renowned conductors including Gennady Rozhdestvensky, Vladimir Ponkin and Krzysztof Penderecki.
