The anti-drug operation «Kanal-Perekhvat» was carried out in the CSTO countries. The organization’s Telegram channel reported.
About 12,100 employees of the competent authorities were involved in the operation.
«During the four days of the operation, more than 897 kilograms of drugs and psychotropic substances, including mephedrone, heroin, hashish and others, were seized from illicit trafficking in the territory of the CSTO states. About 48 firearms and about 2,773 units of ammunition of various calibers were seized. Four drug laboratories have been liquidated. 399 people were detained for committing crimes related to drug trafficking, including 44 people who were wanted. 444 Internet sites were detected through which prohibited drug-related information was disseminated. Several smuggling channels were discovered and suppressed, and three cases of legalization of drug proceeds were documented,» the organization reports.
