Sixty percent of the country’s schools do not have medical workers. Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan Alymkadyr Beishenaliev announced a meeting of Ata Jurt Kyrgyzstan parliamentary faction.
According to him, this has a negative impact on monitoring the health of children during school.
The official also added that 25 percent of schools in the republic do not have medical rooms.
According to the results of a medical examination in 2022, 46 percent of students have deteriorating eyesight and 18 percent have scoliosis.
«The situation in preschool educational institutions is also unfavorable,» Alymkadyr Beishenaliev said.
The current state of healthcare in the country, the reforms carried out by the Ministry of Health and ways to solve problems are discussed at the faction meeting.
