The Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision of Kyrgyzstan announced a large-scale environmental campaign scheduled for September 16.
The cleanup day is timed to coincide with the National Cleanliness Day, the ministry said.
«We urge all citizens to support the campaign, jointly contributing to cleanliness and beautification of territories,» the statement says.
The campaign was first held on October 8, 2022; more than 600 tons of garbage were collected and removed then.
The main purpose of the campaign is to introduce the culture of separate waste collection in the society, and to increase the environmental awareness among citizens.
