By the decision of the Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek, petition of the investigator of the Ministry of Internal Affairs regarding the owner of Ayu Holding, Sharshenbek Abdykerimov, accused of illegal production of alcohol, was granted. Press service of the court confirmed the information to 24.kg news agency.
He was arrested in absentia and a preventive measure was chosen for him in the form of detention in Bishkek pre-trial detention center 1.
Sharshenbek Abdykerimov has five companies. He is the only founder in two — Ak-Saray peasant farm, which breeds cattle, and Frunze Resort construction company. He is a co-founder in the other three. The former deputy also has shares in Ayu LLC, General Management Company and Ayu Construction company.
According to data for 2020, Frunze Resort made the most contributions to the budget — 1,126,810 soms, followed by Ak-Saray farm — 406,892 soms. Ayu LLC paid only 490,000 soms.
In April 2023, based on the collected materials, the investigative service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs opened a criminal case under Article 240 «Illegal production of alcohol and alcohol-containing beverages» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. Three employees were detained: a General Director of Tokmok Bulls CJSC, the head of security at the distillery and a chief industrial engineer.
