Number of Kyrgyzstanis blacklisted in Russia increases

The number of citizens of Kyrgyzstan blacklisted in Russia has increased. The Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Migration reported.

According to the ministry, as of August 2023, the number of compatriots included in the black list of the Russian Federation reached 47,989 people. This is 4,355 people more than in June.

There is no data on the number of deportees.

In January, the Foreign Affairs Ministry reported that about 47,000 citizens of Kyrgyzstan were withdrawn from the black list of the Russian Federation in 2022.

In early September, the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) informed that more than 28,700 Kyrgyzstanis arrived in Russia in the first half of 2023.

Earlier, the Ombudsman of Kyrgyzstan visited citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic in Russia who violated the law. According to the materials of the case, the citizens of Kyrgyzstan are mainly held in the special institution of the Interior Ministry of Russia for violating the migration laws of the Russian Federation; there are also those brought to criminal and administrative liability.
