The fact that the investigating judge of the Nookat District Court of Osh region has the citizenship of a foreign state has been revealed. Press center of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) reported.
As noted, in 2016 the judge by presidential decree was granted the citizenship of the Kyrgyz Republic and on June 26, 2021 he was appointed a judge of the Moskovsky District Court of Chui region. Further, on April 30, 2022, in the order of rotation, he was transferred to the position of investigating judge of the Nookat District Court of Osh region.
During the selection process as a candidate for the position of judge, he concealed the presence of citizenship of a foreign state, which was confirmed by the SCNS bodies.
In accordance with the legislation, he cannot and should not hold the position of a judge, as he has dual citizenship.
On August 29, the Prosecutor’s Office sent a recommendation to the Council of Judges to initiate disciplinary proceedings against the investigating judge of Nookat district.
