More than 300 kilograms of banned ferula resin were detained in Batken region. Press center of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) reported.
A Toyota Estima car was detained on August 8. During the inspection, twelve 35-litre containers with resin of the medicinal plant Ferula were found in the passenger compartment and trunk.
The total weight of the detained cargo amounted to more than 300 kilograms, its cost on the black market is from $20,000.
Investigative measures are being conducted.
