The President of Kyrgyzstan signed amendments to the law of the Kyrgyz Republic on International Emergency Assistance.
The document provides for a report of the Cabinet of Ministers on the use of international assistance, which it is obliged to publish within six months after the end of the period of its provision.
By the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, an assistance group is being formed to provide international emergency assistance based on «single window» principle. The composition, functions, powers and order of its activities are determined by the Cabinet.
In order to improve the work in processing the necessary documents for the import of goods and personnel, the adopted law provides for one centralized permanent assistance group at the republican level, which will increase the efficiency, coordination and interaction of the relevant state bodies, including the preparation of the necessary documents and, if necessary, create specialized groups at the local level, directly at the border crossing points, which will ensure the accelerated passage of goods and personnel across the state border of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The law establishes that the procedure for the use of international monetary donations and other humanitarian assistance to state bodies and local self-government bodies is determined by the Cabinet of Ministers.
The law was adopted by the Parliament on June 29, 2023.
