A citizen of Kyrgyzstan, who was sentenced to life in prison and is serving his sentence in a prison colony in Dzhany-Dzher, applied to the Military Prosecutor’s Office with a statement about torture, which, as he assures, has been committed since 2010. Lawyer Kamil Ruziev told.
According to him, the prisoner was transferred to the prison hospital at the prison colony 31 in March with suspected gangrene. He had previously been diagnosed with diabetes.
«His leg was amputated in the prison colony. He is in serious condition and needs repeated hospitalization in the Department of Vascular Neurosurgery of the National Surgical Center. But the management of the Penitentiary Service does not give permission,» the lawyer said.
He added that the convict complained about the alleged extortion of $1,000 for his treatment.
