The President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov congratulated the workers of the railway industry on their upcoming professional holiday — the Day of the Railway Worker, celebrated in the country on the first Sunday of August. Press service of the head of state reported.
The President noted that the railway industry is one of the main transport arteries of the state. Not only the safety and comfort of passengers, but also the progressive development of all sectors of the economy and the social stability of the country depend on its successful activities.
«Your professional activity ensures the reliability and safety of the movement of goods and passengers, contributes to the expansion of trade relations in Kyrgyzstan, development of tourism and interstate cultural exchange between countries. In order for the structure of the railways to work without interruptions, the work of a huge number of people is involved, whose professions are very different from each other: some require hard physical labor, others need an instant reaction, and others cannot do without deep technical knowledge,» the congratulatory message says.
But all of them — dispatchers, engineers, conductors, repairmen, train compilers — are heroes of the invisible front.

The head of state believes that today’s achievements of the domestic railway industry are the result of a special attitude towards the work of the entire staff of Kyrgyz Temir Zholu National Company.
«We can confidently say that the work in the railway industry has moved forward and has gone in the direction of consistent development. The cars are being overhauled, modernized, and new ones are purchased. Passengers are provided with comfortable conditions that meet modern requirements. Today, the state is investing heavily in the development of railway transport infrastructure. This will become a powerful impetus for the comprehensive development of the country, including the regions, helping to strengthen its industrial and technological potential,» Sadyr Japarov said.
The President recalled that construction of Balykchy — Kochkor — Kara-Keche railway began last spring. This event became a landmark in the development of the country’s railway industry. Now Kyrgyzstan is building an efficient system of transit transportation. Practical implementation of an ambitious project has begun — the construction of China — Kyrgyzstan — Uzbekistan railway.
It will allow the republic to become a logistics hub in Central Asia and integrate into the world market.
«It is strategically important to make everything possible for its successful implementation. I am sure that the accumulated experience, glorious labor traditions, serious state support will help to achieve the set goals and the current generation of professionals will bring the railway industry to an even higher level of development,» the head of state concluded.
