Freight trains launched along China – Kyrgyzstan – Uzbekistan transport corridor

Freight trains have been launched along the PRC — Kyrgyzstan — Uzbekistan transport corridor. The Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan reported on its Telegram channel.

According to it, «in order to implement the agreements reached within China — Central Asia summit in the city of Xi’an, Zhejiang Union of Railway Logistics, together with Uzbekiston Temir Yollari JSC and Kyrgyz Temir Zholu state enterprise, launched a block train of 30 containers from Lanzhou station to Tashkent».

The first train left China’s Lanzhou Station on June 9. Its arrival in Tashkent is expected in 15 days. At the same time, the cargo will be reloaded from the train to vehicles on the territory of Kyrgyzstan, because the country has not yet built part of the PRC — Kyrgyzstan — Uzbekistan railway.

The cargo includes solar panels, mechanical equipment, textiles and much more.
