Asphalting of the tunnel named after Kusain Kolbaev on Too-Ashuu pass has been completed ahead of schedule. The Ministry of Transport and Communications of Kyrgyzstan reported.
Road markings will be made by August 2. The road workers still adhere to the previous schedule of passage through the tunnel. It is planned to completely remove all restrictions on travel through the tunnel by August 6.
«Asphalt concrete pavement will be laid on August 1, 2023 in places where drainage has been made, and in other additional areas. The tunnel service also received an instruction from the leadership of the Ministry of Transport to improve the territories on the approaches to the tunnel. These works will begin in the coming days, when restrictions on passage of cars are completely lifted,» the Ministry of Transport said.
