President opens new building of SCNS in Osh city

President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, as part of a working trip to Osh and Osh region, opened a new building of the main department of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS). Press service of the head of state reported.

Sadyr Japarov noted the significant role of national security officers in the history of the country and emphasized that the difficult situation in the world is aggravating, and its consequences give rise to new challenges for states, including in matters of national security. Therefore, the President stressed, the requirements for employees of relevant bodies are also growing, expanding their agenda with tasks to ensure political and international stability, fight terrorism and corruption, maintain territorial integrity and step up measures in this direction.

The country’s leadership pays comprehensive attention to all these issues, Sadyr Japarov said.

Speaking about the material and technical base of the national security agencies, the President noted that the old building of the SCNS for Osh and the Osh region was built in 1979 and scheduled repairs were periodically carried out in it. To create modern working conditions for employees of the department, construction of three new buildings with a total area of 2,836 square meters started a year ago. To date, construction of the facilities has been completed and they are transferred for use with the presence of a modern sports complex and a new pre-trial detention center.
