Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov met with the Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Ahmadov. Press service of the Cabinet reported.
The parties discussed issues of cooperation in all areas of mutual interest, and also «coordinated their stances» on the implementation of the agreements reached during the mutual visits of the heads of the two states.
«Results of the mutual visits of our leaders last year created the necessary basis for the dynamic development of cooperation between our countries,» Akylbek Japarov said.
He also stressed the importance of the meetings of the intergovernmental commission of the two countries. He noted that this format of work is an effective platform for strengthening and promoting trade, economic, investment, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the countries. The head of the Cabinet paid special attention to the opening of direct regular flights between Bishkek and Baku and the development of relations in the investment and tourism sectors.
The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers is sure that the expected practical launch of the Azerbaijan-Kyrgyz Development Fund will give a new impetus to trade, economic and investment cooperation between the two countries.
In turn, Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Ahmadov conveyed greetings on behalf of the President Ilham Aliyev to President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov. He also expressed readiness to support projects in all areas of bilateral cooperation and confirmed his intention to proceed to the implementation of the agreements reached following the results of high-level visits.
