Ministers of Labor of Kyrgyzstan Kudaibergen Bazarbaev and Korea Lee Jung-Sik signed a Memorandum of Cooperation. Press service of the ministry reported.
The purpose of the document is to improve the effectiveness of policy development in the field of employment, vocational training and labor protection.
Kudaibergen Bazarbaev noted that active cooperation within the Korean employment permit system (EPS) shows good results.
«Kyrgyzstanis are successfully employed at Korean enterprises, more than 5,000 labor contracts have been received in total. Last year 888 people were employed under the EPS system, since the beginning of 2023 — 269. We propose to consider the possibility to increase the quota under this system, including by attracting private companies and entrepreneurs,» he said.
The parties also discussed the exchange of experience in overcoming poverty within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals and digitalization of employment services.
