President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov met with the Foreign Minister of Malaysia Zambry Abdul Kadir, who arrived in Kyrgyzstan for an official visit. Press service of the head of state reported.
The parties exchanged views on the state and prospects of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between the two countries.
The head of state noted that the Kyrgyz side attaches great importance to further strengthening the political dialogue, and stressed the need to increase its level, since Malaysia is one of the main partners of Kyrgyzstan in Southeast Asia.
Sadyr Japarov stressed that Kyrgyzstan was ready to work together to create favorable conditions for enhancing trade, economic and investment cooperation between the countries, indicating favorable conditions in the Kyrgyz Republic for foreign investment. In particular, he noted the bilateral potential in such areas as power industry, tourism, agriculture and information technology.
He invited the King Abdullah Ahmad Shah of Malaysia and Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim to pay an official visit to Kyrgyzstan.
Zambry Abdul Kadir stressed the commitment of his country’s leadership to expanding and strengthening bilateral cooperation with Kyrgyzstan in a wide range of areas, including trade, investment, education and tourism.
The parties noted mutual readiness to deepen and expand strategic relations, taking into account all the necessary tools available to deepen bilateral cooperation.
