Members of a banned religious extremist organization have been detained in Bishkek. Press center of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) reported.
«As part of the investigation of the criminal case, the whereabouts of wanted citizens, including those from neighboring states, involved in the activities of an international terrorist organization, were established. On June 19, authorized searches were carried out in the capital at the places of residence of the suspects. Materials were found showing their involvement in illegal activities, illegal stay on the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic of certain citizens of foreign states, as well as the activities of an illegally operating hujra, where children of school and preschool age received religious education,» the statement says.
