Organ transplantation in Kyrgyz-Turkish Hospital discussed at Health Ministry

The issue of organizing organ transplantation in the Kyrgyz-Turkish Hospital was discussed at the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan. Press center of the ministry reported.

The Health Minister Gulnara Baatyrova met with a delegation of the Ministry of Health of Turkey, headed by the head of the department of the General Directorate of Public Hospitals Mustafa Taskin.

The parties discussed the importance of the development of transplantology and the problems that exist in the health care system of Kyrgyzstan in this area. They reviewed examples of successful organization of transplantation in Turkey, discussed issues related to legislation in the industry. Turkish specialists got acquainted with the available medical equipment for organ transplantation at the Kyrgyz-Turkish Hospital.

Representatives of the ministries discussed further interaction and exchange of experience in this area, and also expressed their intention to organize educational programs and trainings for medical personnel in order to improve the skills of Kyrgyz specialists in the field of transplantation.

«The Kyrgyz-Turkish State Hospital in Bishkek is one of the leading medical institutions. Development of transplantology based on it will help improve access to quality medical care and save the lives of patients who need organ transplants. Kyrgyzstan is ready to take all the necessary steps to achieve this goal,» Gulnara Baatyrova said.

She added that the ministry would continue to work closely with the Turkish Ministry of Health and other stakeholders to successfully implement this important initiative.
