There are two candidates from the factions of Parliament for the post of Ombudsman of Kyrgyzstan. It was announced at a meeting of the parliamentary committee on constitutional legislation.
Ata Zhurt Kyrgyzstan faction nominated the former Deputy Prosecutor General Dzhamilya Dzhamanbaeva as a candidate, and Yiman Nuru faction nominated Kulira Kubatova.
Earlier, Alliance, Yntymak factions and Eldik deputy group nominated ex-deputy Mirlan Dzheenchoroev to the post of Ombudsman. The documents were submitted to the relevant committee. However, the former deputy refused to run. It also became known that Ishenim faction intends to support its candidate, lawyer Kanymbu Karabayeva.
The staff of the Ombudsman’s Institute nominated Askat Azarbekov and Urmat Aralbaev.
