Ex-deputy Mirlan Zheenchoroev refused to run for Ombudsman. He himself confirmed the information to 24.kg news agency.
According to him, he is grateful to the two parliamentary factions Alliance and Yntymak and Eldik deputy group for the trust and nomination of his candidacy, but decided not to be nominated for the post of Ombudsman.
«In connection with being involved in other projects and party activities,» Mirlan Zheenchoroev explained.
Earlier, Alliance, Yntymak factions and Eldik deputy group nominated ex-deputy Mirlan Zheenchoroev to the post of Ombudsman. The documents were submitted to the relevant committee. It also became known that Ishenim faction intends to support its candidate, lawyer Kanymbu Karabayeva.
The social media users also report that MP Kamila Taliyeva intends to run for the post of Ombudsman. But the deputy herself denied the information, saying that she has no legal education, assuring that she intended to continue her work as a deputy.
Recall, 50 deputies voted for the resignation of Atyr Abdrakhmatova from the post of Ombudsman, and 5 voted against.
