This year it is planned to commission about 100 megawatts of energy capacity through the construction of solar stations. The Chairman of the Board of the National Energy Holding Taalaibek Baigaziev told at a press conference.
According to him, two agreements have been signed that guarantee the purchase of electricity from new solar stations. According to them, the process of research and allocation of land, the design of stations begins.
«The plant with a capacity of 300 megawatts is being built by Bishkek Solar company near Toru-Aigyr village in Issyk-Kul region. The second, with a capacity of 50 megawatts, is being built by our subsidiary Taza Energy jointly with a Kazakh company. The object is in the same area — on the northern shore of Issyk-Kul lake. The connection point is Issyk-Kulskaya substation in Balykchy city and Kemin substation with a capacity of 500 kilovolts,» Taalaibek Baigaziev told.
At the end of March, following the meeting of the Kyrgyz-Russian Intergovernmental Commission, a long-term contract for the supply of electricity was signed between Bishkek Solar LLC, the Unigreen Energy group of companies and the National Electric Network of Kyrgyzstan OJSC. In addition, an investment agreement was signed. It is expected that in addition to Unigreen Energy, the Kyrgyz-Russian Development Fund, the Eurasian Development Bank and the Russian Gazprombank will participate in the project. The volume of investments is estimated at $300 million.
