The Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan takes a loan and a grant from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) to modernize 5 hospitals, 16 laboratories and 50 biomaterial collection points. The Health Minister Gulnara Batyrova announced at a meeting of the parliamentary committee on international affairs, defense, security and migration.
ADB will allocate $30 million, $10 million is a loan at 1 percent, the rest is a grant.
The Ministry of Health intends to use these funds to purchase equipment, train medical staff and improve the infrastructure of hospitals and laboratories.
