Employee of Aksy power distribution authority extorts money from consumers

An employee of Aksy power distribution authority extorted money from consumers. He was detained. Press center of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan reported.

It was found out that the controller-cashier, using his official position, threatening with a fine for replacing the electricity meter, extorted 20,000 soms from a resident of Aksy district.

A criminal case has been initiated under article 251 «Illegal receipt of remuneration by employees». The controller-cashier was detained when receiving 18,000 soms. Investigative actions are ongoing.
