The growth rate of trade between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan in January 2023 reached 100.7 percent. Yangi Uzbekiston reports.
According to the media outlet, in January 2023, the volume of Uzbekistan’s foreign trade with the countries of Central Asia increased by 8 percent and reached $449.7 million, which is 8.9 percent of the total foreign trade.
At the same time, Uzbekistan’s exports to the countries of Central Asia amounted to $139 million, and imports — $310.8 million (18.4 percent growth).
Uzbekistan’s foreign trade indicators:
- Trade turnover with Kazakhstan — $333.5 million (an increase of 26.4 percent), of which export is $56.7 million, import is $276.8 million.
- Trade with Kyrgyzstan — $61.5 million, of which export is $43.3 million, import is $18.3 million.
- Trade with Tajikistan — $38.6 million, export is $33.3 million, import is $5.3 million.
- Trade with Turkmenistan — $16.1 million, exports — $5.7 million, imports — $10.4 million.
Kazakhstan accounts for the largest share in the trade turnover of Uzbekistan with the countries of Central Asia — 74 percent, Kyrgyzstan — 14 percent, Tajikistan — 9 percent and Turkmenistan — 3 percent.
